The St. Francis Youth Center group mural is complete! This was an on-going collaborative project I have been leading with the kids in the SFYC program (South Bronx) over the past few months. We wrapped up with group critique & discussion about what went well, what we could have done differently, the importance of teamwork, and the overall goal of coming together to bring beauty into a space we call home.
Thanks to Yvette, Lisette, Fr. Pierre Toussaint, and the rest of the volunteers and Franciscan friars in the CFR community for supporting and assisting with this project! I am incredibly blessed to be involved with this community as a volunteer art teacher and I look forward to more projects with the SFYC kids this Spring.
