“Be Still and Know that I Am God” Psalm 46:10
This mixed media piece was commissioned by my friend Mateusz earlier this summer. For the process of this commission Mat presented me with his favorite psalm, needing a visual aid for prayer to return to the graces he has received from meditating with this piece of scripture. We prayed with Psalm 46:10 separately, coming together to talk about what was sticking out in prayer and how to best visually represent this seemingly abstract psalm. Here is our final result! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Praying over ideas for commissions with clients and allowing the Holy Spirit to work through processes in my artwork has been a learning process, and I’m sure will continue to be. But I have found peace and joy in the fruits of what comes along the way, knowing that I am using my artistic gifts for His glory to help others encounter the Lord more deeply. I’m grateful for friends like Mateusz that give me opportunities to keep learning and growing as His artist!!
